Edward came to us looking for management of their much-loved holiday home in the heart of the Dorset countryside. The cottage has been enjoyed by the family for many years and had never been let out before, which was a story that resonated with our own. So it was extra important they knew we were there to support them every step of the way and to care for the cottage like it was our own.
Having never been let before, it was important to maintain the family home element of the cottage. Equally, some changes were needed to ensure it was fit and comfortable for short-term guests. Finding the balance is always difficult with a home like this – we don’t want to strip it of all its character and charm, but when done right, it creates a homely and inviting space.
We helped advise Edward and the family from the outset. The result is a popular accommodation in North Dorset/South Somerset that consistently attracts guests from all over the world!
